Lying in bed, with tear on my face, thinking of him, thinking of us. What could've been, but isn't. What should've been, but isn't. I was given a second chance, but I didn't realize. What I've always wanted was right in front of my face. What I've always needed was there all along. Is it love, I ask myself. At the time I didn't think so. I didn't realize, my love for him was like no other, my love for him was undiscovered. Then it hit me, after things were said and done, but by then he was gone. I realized, he was m love. He was my one and only love. With sparkling blue eyes, and a heart of gold. I realized to late, and now there's no chance left. What I wouldn't give to be loved by him, to be held by him, kissed by him. When you cry yourself to sleep everynight, because you lost him, You realize, You loved him all along. Sad, ironic and familiar...i like it! Lessons of this sort are painful, but are really gonna have some effect on you. Sure, now it sucks that you cant be with him, but for all you know, there might be someone else, waiting right under your nose! Life's a ride, take it slow! |

Hey!! I love your poem! I went through a situation exactly like yours, and I have been looking everywhere for poetry to describe my situation perfectly and I haven't been able to find any, but yours does! I hope things go well for you, and I know it hurts, but you'll eventually just learn from your experience and move on. |
