Hey guys, You guys trying to avoid writting your "get to know me" Poems by bumping the rest off thepage? Ah, cleaver, but no donut...Come on guys, just attach them here And so the moderators can't lock this for not have poetry on it, i'll repost mine! I am your salvation, yet I am your damnation. I am the storm you flee, yet I am the shelter you seek. I am everything, but I am nothing. I am an Angel, but I am a demon. I am all these things, yet I am none of them. ------------------------- Your guys turn! (Do i get a prize for having the longest title for this post?) Nice little poem you have written here. Don't know about the rest of the stuff you mention. A life isn't significant except for its impact on other lives. |

Well .....I have been away a few days and I find that there have been get to know me poems. What a wonderful surprise!  I shall see how many I can find and bump up.  I shall add my I Am poem to this tread. I worte it last year for a challange.I AM I am an contradiction, An Oxymoron. I am a thinker, Yet and artist. A mother, But still a child. I am a lover, yet stone cold. I am stuborn and willful. Free spirited, Yet grounded. I am what I give, Yet I am empty. I am a sinner, Yet still a saint. I am unique, But like everyone else. I am me, Yet still evolving. |

I think the "Get to know me" poems are wonderful, and I hope to see more of them. As for me, I'll also post my "I am" poem. I am a LoveBug, and the only one I wonder if I’ll ever be loved, or have any fun I hear the wheezing of a mime I see moving flowers, keeping time I want to find my one true love I am a LoveBug, and the only one I pretend I’m a character in my books I feel his passion, and disapproving looks I touch his face, and he touches mine I worry again that love is blind I cry about reality, when I am alone I am a LoveBug, and the only one I understand that looks will fade I say that all things are what God made I dream about finding him, I do I try not to expect that this dream will come true I hope I will find him, who’s second to none I am a LoveBug, and the only one "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde |

I think the "Get to Know Me" Poems are a great idea. Here is my "I Am" Poem... I am confused yet I must always stay strong I wonder if I will last that long... I hear voices telling me that I am wrong I want to know what it feels like to belong I am confused yet I must always stay strong I pretend to soar up into the sky I feel that my life is still passing me by I touch a cloud, and begin to cry I worry that eventually my soul will die I cry that soon I must say goodbye I am confused yet I must always stay strong I understand my life has truly just begun I say everyone should have a chance to have fun I dream that all the hate will just be done I try my very best to please everyone I hope that I have disappointed none I am confused yet I must always stay strong ~Susie |

Mine is coming soon....just trying to reply to all the other poems in this forum before I put mine in. I find that to be the fairest way to do it.
