Somewhere, between here and there

Not love true,
But friendship, through and through
Rue for leaving you,
No choice of mine,
But as time will tell, this is better
Better for the two of us.

Lust was all, not to forestall,
No love, here…at all

Only lies, yes lies,
As I say I love you,
How do I lie to those eyes?
The same that haunt my dreams, screaming
Why, Why?

Now I on my way,
Perhaps I’ll pay for my deceit,
I’ll not weep over this loss.
But it cost you more,
Your tears fall to the floor,

Do I regret?
Not one moment spent, in such relent
Was what I did right?
No, not right.

Even though I know,
You’ll never know this,
You should have felt, a long time ago
In our kiss. Knew that something was amiss.

Was it that we were never meant to be,
Or was it simply me, destroying us from within
So hard to see, to tell.  A thing to contemplate, perhaps in hell.

In the end, I never meant,
To rend you heart (but I did it anyway)  ,
I move again,
And again a fresh start.

Alright, so i am moving again, big surprise.  Now coems the hard part, ditch the girl.  That may sound cold and heartless (and it is, in many ways.), but i have moved before, and it easier for both people to get used to not being together, before i leave.  In answer to any replies, yes i am a jerk, but hey, i am 16 and if my mom moves, theres not a whole hell of a lot i can do about it   .

At least you admit it, and yea when you're 16 there's not a lot you can do about it.  It was a good poem, keep writing

Distance is a hard thing to conquer, and if it isn't true love, you really shouldn't try. It will hurt both of you less in the long run. Good luck with the future!

This was well written. True, the whoel distance this is very hard. If you don't think you can deal with it, then it's not emant to be. Always go with what your heart tells you.

Wow, it must be really hard to always have to pick up and move.  I totally feel your pain because I cannot even imagine leaving behind the friends that I have now.  Anyway, awesome poem.  It went straight to my heart.

I feel so bad for you, having to keep moving. Hell, it's not your fault and you're not a jerk....a victim of circumstance, I think.

'A victim of circumstances'?
No - I don't think so. Just because you admit that you're a jerk, doesn't mean you should be forgiven. It's blatantly obvious that you care about yourself (Lust et all), and NOT the feelings of the girl you're gonna leave - Using the whole 'moving' charade as an excuse, you can use to justify your actions -and saying that your 'only 16' is still no excuse...What's gonna happen when you stop 'moving'. When your out there by yourself, in the big wide world? You'll probably become a womaniser but hey...'you were a victim of circumstances'. Im not degrading your poem, its just they say 'what goes around, comes around' - And you still have a lot to learn. Im surprised any one else didn't see this as well...But then again, All were beautiful, honest & caring women - The type that are attracted & intriged by lovable ROGUEs like those such as yourself...until they have their hearts broken,   that is...

This is a great poem, is a fantastic poem.

What I have learned from experience is that...things happen in life, and there is nothing you can do about it, but you can do something about the way you handle the situation.

I am not gonna say what you did was right, I'm not gonna say what you did was wrong, in fact, I am not gonna say anything about it. Just follow your heart, liten to that little voice in your head, and always ask for guidance from God, cause He always knows the best way.

And believe me, it works, even if you are just 16. I'd know, cause I have tried it, and it worked for me, and I am also just 16.

Goodluck for the future, and keep up the good work

Deranger: This is a good poem as it expresses from 'the other side of the fence.' FOr the lucky people, distance and relationships work but for some it doesn't. You need to have that spark and the sooner you admit that there isn't a spark, the better it will be for the both of you.

People get over things and in time this chick will too. I agree with Lizzie in that you are a victim of circumstance. As you are only 16 you have to go where your parents go and for some people that is hard. Time heals wounds and everyone moves on.

Haroon: Try to keep it friendly ok. There is no need to go overboard with the criticism.
