The day I soared to Heaven

One day I soared to heaven;
With love's wings I flew,
All my sadness was forgotten;
All my wishes were coming true.

It was like floating on a cloud;
My heart was so full and free,
And with every beat it pound
A silent tune of ecstasy.

With one look into your sweet brown eyes
I knew you were from heaven above,
And my heart was almost paralyzed
With the overwhelming sensation of love.

And I never knew this could happen,
I've never known a love so true.
The day I soared to heaven,
Was the day that I found you.

Great poem, You must of been sooooo happy to have found Love and I hope you can keep hold of it forever.Perfectly wrote.

I'm really glad you liked my poem. True love is definitely sweet to find! I'll be marrying my true love soon. I hope that if you have a true love you can hold onto it forever, and if you don't have one, never give up, it took me a long time, but I finally found mine

I'm proud of you. Love is always true.
But for me it was just like one bad day at office ruining everything I had. I made one bad mistake and I saw the whole world that we had built crashing before my eyes.

Well, I surely don't know everything about love, and I don't know your situation, but I do know that people aren't perfect! I'm sorry to hear that that happened to ya A_L
;( but I do hope that you are healing, and I hope that you find someone to love again and share everything with. Life is hard, and love can be like a thorn in your side at times, but it is all worth it in the end.
