Friends .......... do they want more ?

This was written when one of my best friends told me they had feelings for me.
I didn't know how to react bcoz i didn't feel the same about them.
There was someone else.
Did i hurt them ?

You think you know someone but really you don't.
Maybe they'll tell you, maybe they won't.

But what if they do?  Their feelings come out.
They're sure what they feel there is no doubt.

Yet you are confused.  What do you say?
Do you ignore what they say until another day?

They are your friend.  That is all you can be.
They don't understand, they cannot see.

Should you tell them and risk breaking their heart?
There is someone else, another part.

Now they feel bad. Wish they had never said.
But they cannot hide what is inside their head.

Every time you speak it's in the back of your mind.
Will you expect things?  You look to find.

You should treat them the same as before.
But you make the effort, you try some more.

In time you will feel the same.
You won't even remember their feelings came.

So in the end you agree
Friends is all you can ever be.

I love that poem because it told me exactly what to do with a problem I am having?
May I use this poem? I mean can I give it to someone else, I will give you credit.
