I walked through the doors,
And looked down the crowded hall.
I lowered my eyes to the floor,
Not wanting to look at anyone at all.

I head straight for my locker
Trying not to look up.
I almost make it with out a mocker,
But than I run out of luck.

Walking by a group,
I her a girl say,
"Here comes the cannon,
Get out of her way."

I pretend I don't hear her,
As I walk by,
But a tear starts to form
In the corner of my eye.

When I get my locker open
The tear rolls down my cheek,
My body is numb, and i'm hopein'
To make it through this week.

This is not just my story
It could happen to anyone
I hope this makes you remember
All the times you made fun

Try to remember her now
The way she never looked up
The way she hoped to walk by
Without getting made fun of

You have your group of friends
Look around does she have any at all?
You make fun of her to no end
You alone will cause her fall.

The next day she does not come
You don't notice she's not there
Untill a week later,
But you still do not care.

One month later,
You recieve a note
Adressed to you,
And inside she wrote.

"I regretfully tell you
That i have passed on.
It was my hand that hung me,
But you egged me on.

You constant ridicule
Has just gone to far.
I tryed to ignore you,
But it just became to hard."

The point of the story
Is simple and clear,
Next time you see her
Do not cause her fear.

Maybe inside her
There lives a great friend
Who would have been by you
Untill the very end.

After having my grandparents die, and seeing my one love lose his best friend, i think of a saying that someone once told me, "God doesn't give us what we cannot handle."  I really enjoyed this, it made me think about my life.  Keep it up.  rachel

This is nice writint, full of expression.  It's sad that some people act the way they do.  Mostly out of insecurity I believe.

It is sad that there are people who have to build themselves up by tearing others down. It is an all too common thing these days. All we have to do is put them on the receiving end just once and maybe they will never do it again. To walk a mile so to speak. Now how to accomplish that feat?

Welcome to the family.

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shodows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face...

This is so sad  , but all too true. It's a shame how people will critize other people without getting to know them and to often it ends in tragedy. Loved your poem. Welcome to Passions

that was an amazing poem. Check out my poem, Baby Emily for the way I felt when my little sister died. It sucks but that was an incredibly strong poem that must have touched a lot of people.

This is an amazing poem, and so true. It touched me greatly, because I've often been the girl that was teased, and I used to think about giving up. But then I saw who was really stronger, and I hope you see that, too.

This poem is so sad. Yet so incredibly true. I have felt the ridicules too... This reminds me of a sad story about a boy that went to a school my mom used to teach at. He was a larger kid so to speak, and was horribly made fun of. One day, he came to school with a gun. The kids did not know this..they continued to make fun.. so he stood up in the middle of class...and shot himself...very sad...

"Some people react physically to the magic of poetry, to the moments, that is, of authentic revelation, of the communication, the sharing, at its highest level....A good poem is a contribution to reality. The world is never the same once a good poem has been added to it. A good poem helps to change the shape and significance of the universe, helps to extend everyone's knowledge of himself and the world around him." -Dylan Thomas (1913-1953)

Very touching. No one pays any attention to the ones not wanted. They need a friend. If your a true friend, you would be their friend.
