Darkness,
Blackness,
Beating,
Burning,
Loathing,
Glowing,
Evil,
Grief,
Bad men creep.

In the darkness they do seek
To fight us all, to make us weak.
And their intentions
Mean our submissions;
A price too high, too deep.

In the night they do their will,
The hunt, the chase, the goal: the kill.
A shadow is the product of the light,
And where there is light,
There is also darkness.

Only pure light can pierce the darkness.
Pure light, Holy light--the light of truth alone
Has the strength to overcome the blackness
And destroy the evil.

Pray, then, for the light to be shed,
The truth to be known,
And the shadows of the night to desist.

Pure light casts no shadow.

The truth will attend to itself.

This is very good writing. The imagery just jumps out at you.
