I DONT UNDERSTAND... I dont understand why people have to die, It makes me wanna break down and cry. I dont understand why people have to suffer, As if their life weren't any rougher. I dont understand why life has to end, I thought God was spose to be our friend. I dont understand why we cant live forever, God just had to be too damn clever. I dont understand this world of violence, Just like I dont understand this world of silence. I dont understand why god made us in the 1st place, As if he put us here just to take us space. good poem! i don't think anyone knows the meaning of life but that's what makes it interesting! you have to think of it this way: if we never get hurt or go through pain, we wouldn't know what its like to be happy...deep stuff huh? anyway - good poem. |

Welcome to Passions. You raise some great questions in this piece. My first comment is this. There is no great secret of life. The meaning is in the journey and what we make of it. (MHO) God made us in his image, he gave us a gift so that we would not be like a robot. He gave us free will. We have used it to create misery and poverty and suffering. We have used it to kill our brother and suppress our sister. When we finally learn the lesson of this great journey we have started on (life)then we can live with compassion. Some have reached that point, others may never but it is all in how we choose to live this precious gift we were given. Use it wisely and make each moment count. Amy this is a touching poem!! You sound angry at god though... I wish I knew why we were here and what his purpose was for us and I often wonder if we will become exstint like the dinosaurs... Anyway good work hope tp read more!!! Dana |
