|The forest of my dreams|

The scent of the air was sweet,
Or maybe that was just the roses.
The same roses that overtook the path,
And spread their delicous scent.
The grass was wet from the dew,
Its slippery texture invited me to sit.
Why would the wetness bother me,
When I am in such a perfect place?
It was so early in the morning.
The trees hung limply,
Casting a shadow over the world,
Shielding it from all that seek to harm.
The creatures were so magical,
I was living in a dream world.
Nothing was what it seemed,
Perfection was a masterpiece.
Gentle sounds of the birds,
Cawed in the distance.
I had never felt so alive,
And so enchanted at the same time.
It was a magic forest that lit up my dreams,
My reality was replaced.
For in my slice of happiness,
The forest was all I needed.
The golden rays from the sun,
Projected their brightness,
In the cracks of trees and little shrubs,
Lighting up the forest like a lamp.
The little forest beings came out,
The rays bringing joy and enlightenment.
Sounds of laughing echoed throughout the forest,
Making it appear like a fantasy world.
Everything about this place was so real,
Yet so apart of unrationality.
It was my little haven,
The forest of my dreams.
