Oh bird, so close to home, So near to thy nest. A short flight to nights rest. Oh bird, such a mornful cry. For what reason do thee not fly? Hath the gods set astray your path? Nay, oh bird, your home is here, Perched on yonder tree. Go home, oh bird, and be free. |
