Anger. Anger leaves us cold and destitute, Longing for that little something that will make it better, It may be the cool wind in your hair, Caressing your tired and hot face, As you search for words to express how you feel, It could be the soft touch of a lover, Caressing your earth weary heart, As you try to connect to their loving ways, Anger deprives us of all reason, Flinging reality to the wind, You search for something to make it better, But all you find is that something that made it worse, The feeling stays long and hard, Blinding you of any worth while happiness, Suffocating your life and leaving you hungry for truth, The truth that will shine eventually, The truth that will set you free, Amongst the torrent of shadows, Some shrouded in darkness, Some who desperately search for the light, The light that will kill their aching sorrow, And surmount their hunger, Fire to ice turns inevitably into water, Fire that is the hot flames of anger, Ice that is the uncaring face of loneliness And water that is the placidness of unfeeling, Anger is everywhere, Love is inside… Break free. |

Wonderful! I was so glad about the way you ended this. "Love is inside... Break free." Isn't that the wonderful thing about Love it overpowers all the difficult and bad emotions and feelings like anger.  |

I liked this also. "the truth that will set you free against the torrent of shadows". Sounds pretty poetic to me. Nice poem. |
