~My Guardian Angel~ (Ode to My Brother) Are guardians really angels?, Not really, but my brother is, He helps me from every angle, Even gone still him I miss, Hundreds of miles away, He can still make my day, With a call or letter, He makes my days so much better, He calls me Stink Bomb, It's funny because so does mom!, I haven't given him a name yet, But a funny one he will get, I like to give him "Daily Punchings", Do you with your brother get moments like these?, When I'm down he picks me up, And says "Don't sit there like a big ol`lump!", Since I was a baby he helped mom raise me, Telling me to be strong and not to hit back until after three, To me he is a brother and a father, You wanna get closer than him? Don't even bother, Because for me there is no other, That's closer than my Guardian Angel,My Big Brother. ~JeNnYeMeShAn~ This poem is for my older brother Jonathon. He is in prison now and I miss him so much!  He has always been there for me and me for him. We share a really close relationship. The past year has been hard for me, but I've seen it through! Having a close and loving relationship with a sibling, like you seem to have, seems to have become a rare occurrence. I have a similar bond with my brother- he is younger though. It must be very difficult to have your brother away from you. I hope that things get better for you. Thank you for sharing this piece, I can tell that it came from your heart. -Penny |

I really liked this poem, its something I can relate to. My older brother is my bestfriend and protector and I wouldn't trade him for the world. Relationships like that don't come that often in life, we should cherish them for all they mean to us. Steffani |
