Jilted lies: So many distant things, so many jilted lies; to understand the depth of them- you'll have to close your eyes. To wish upon the timely star- the star which goes away- if it be known, the truth be shown- a lie is yet to be. A peaceful world of hope and joy, did not quite succeed- yet mysery and death it be -- looks at us as we see. My eyes tell, the truth be found, it is not what it seems: Just another day of jilted lies until the come of salty seas. |

i liked it, very much. rhyming usually turns me off to poetry, but you managed to carry it off with grace and rhythm. awesome first post. i'm new too. welcome though. ....the words that stand still are often the ones that move us most.... |
