I Just Can't Forget You... |

It was the little things that I loved most about you Things you probably didn't even realize you'd done To me I felt that it was something more To you …it was just all fun The way you said my name at the end of every phone call And how you'd always call me first to make plans The feeling I got when you held me tight Or caressed me with your hands How when you drove me home we'd sit close together And at every red light we would kiss The way you always sung along with the radio Are a few things I'm going to miss How when you came over that night you swept me off my feet…literally Then you'd tell me you'd call and you would Or the times that we watched pathetic cartoons 'Cause nothing else on TV was that good There were so many things that I longed to tell you Like how I loved it every time you kissed me on the cheek Or how looking into your stunning blue eyes made me melt And your smile simply made me weak It was the little things you'd say or do And although they were rare and small They seemed as if they came from the heart I loved them most of all But then one day it all came to a sudden stop You didn't even give a reason why And I'm ashamed to tell you how much you hurt me And how you made me cry I can't understand, you always seemed so sincere But I guess it was an act all along I just can't believe I fell so hard And though it's your fault, feel I was wrong You made it pretty clear that it's all over But unlike you I'm not so good at good-byes Like you, I don't throw my love around Or fool people with my lies Did you even care about me in the littlest bit? Or was I just one of your many games? Was I just another number for your little black book Simply added with all those other names? I guess there's nothing else I can say Nothing to do but wonder if you ever think of me Until the day we meet again I'll simply let you be |

My favoriet poems are the ones that come strait from the heart through personal experience. You wrote your feelings very well, and it feels like I'm getting to read what is inside your heart. Beautiful poem! |

That was a great poem. i can totally relate to the feelings and emotions you showed in it. Your poem helped me show some of my friends why i still feel the way i do for my ex.... so thank you. |

Your poem is the first I've read that goes so well with my life. I had the exact same experience. He was my first love and he hurt me so terribly and also gave me no reason why. I love your poem. It's very emotional and I can tell from your words how deep and real your pain was. |
