just about where I want to be

I was sitting in my classroom
Waiting for class to end
Ms. Martin was talking about variables
When four strangers walked in

Two girls and two boys
All dressed in black
They made their apologies
And sat in the back

After class was over
One of the girls named Alwye
Tripped on a chair
and said "How clumsy of me!"

One of the boys cleared his throat
And I looked over there
He was straightening his tie
And said his name was Jer

Then the other girl
Ran out into the hall
Yelling "my name is Marilyn"
and ran into a wall

While writing on the board
About the strength of human wills
The other boy was introduced
His name was poetry_kills

And all this time
Ms. Martin was staring
With her eyes open wide
She asked me if I knew them
I just wanted to hide

I was so embarrassed
Afraid I'd stutter
I ran from the room slamming the door
Before another word she could utter

Now this poem may be foolish
Silly, and have no plot
But hey with these moderators
It's the best I've got!

Sorry guys...I was bored

scg: actually i see myself being the one to run into the wall *heh* (i certainly wouldn't be straightening a tie)... good job though    humorous and you keep the rhyme scheme tight within the poem... i like that

As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha... this was the best one yet! I never can get those dang ties on right! Well, I thank you for your thoughtfulness and humor. It has served its purpose well.
