How many heartaches,
Can a girl take?
Humans only have one heart,
And they aren't meant to break.

How can you tell me that you love me,
Then quickly turn away?
How can you say so many things,
That you don't mean to say?

Your lies hurt so many people,
Especially when it's to their face.
So many times that I was with you,
I wished to be at other places.

You always seemed to think,
Your charm would get you through life.
I often now somehow doubt,
That it will even get you a wife.

What on earth was I to you?
Just a girl on the side?
When you said you'd finished with me,
I surely could have died.

I feel so sorry for all the girls,
That get caught in your trap.
Your head is so hard to follow,
That you almost need a map.

One day you'll learn,
That a heart is not a toy.
And you'll realise this when you are a man,
And not a childish little boy.

Lovely poem.  I love the thoughts.  Sometimes we all jump into things we aren't mature enough to decide completely and just want to have fun, and end up hurting others.  If the events that happened in your poem are true, sounds almost like what happened with me.  Nevertheless, good poem.  Welcome to Passions!

Awesome poem!  I can feel your pain. However, let me say one thing... as a guy, I am glad I do not act like that. This was a great first post and I welcome you to passions. You will get to know us all. Were all like a giant family here.

Great poem!!! Welcome to fashions. I really know what you mean. I can't say something exactly like that happened to me, but it was how I felt for a long while. Good luck and go ahead and move on with your life. A lot guys can just be jerks and yet (not to offend any of you guys) it's really hard to find a decent one.

Depends on where and what your looking for Salooma.  I'm a good guy and girls just pass me by. I see to many girls go for the jerky type other then the nice guy type like me.   Anyway... my opinion.

Count me in as another nice guy that cant get a date. Excellent poem and welcome to passions. The people who get dates easily are more likely to take the one they have for granted, merely for the fact that they can get another if they wanted. Just a thought to leave you with   Give us loners a chance!

Hey everone.

Thanks for the replies. It has taken me quite a while to get over this jerk and don't worry guys, I can see the nice ones over the bad ones. Once again thanks for the replies and I'll be posting some more of my stuff up here later on.

Jer and Mistikman: I know there are lots of real nice guys around that no one notices and I know how it feels cause there are many nice girls around, too. So it's really that at times you may fall into the arms of the worst guy ever and I guess that's pretty unpleasent as we all know. So in general, nice people are around but no one notices. I bet ya we all will end up better than the ones that get the guys or the girls. Bet ya anything   See ya around.

attention ladies!: my roomate is available! *malicious grin* just kidding... actually anonymous, i just wanted to say that this is a touching poem... i had slight problems with some of the rhyme being a little too sing-songy, but i think you pulled it off well despite that...      keep up the good work (and yes, there are good men out there)...

!!Your words hit me to be so foreign, but so true.  I, myself, try to avoid guys like this, but I have met them.  I really liked the poem though.
