Why do we lie about who we are? What we are? Everyone does it Not just through words But through appearance Do we do it to impress? To decieve? Maybe we do it for us Not them Maybe we want to fool ourselves Into believing we are something That we are not Is everything we say Everything we do A lie Or a mere stretched truth So we can feel important Significant In some way *note*---i wrote this poem in order to get back at someone who i thought was a friend, but actually was using me to get to my girl-friend (actually ex now). |
