'TAKE A CHANCE ON WILD LOVE' The night wind blows cold You embrace the soft warm flames. The pitch blackness beyond the fire's light Makes you feel so very alone. But you know there is something lurking in the shadows Just waiting, watching every move you make. Not knowing if it's there to help or harm Perhaps to join you in the warm fire Or maybe about to knock you down a link in life's food chain. You are uneasy and short of air Your stomach tightens, adrenaline rushes through your veins Feeling unsure, not knowing weather to stay or run Choosing to chance it, hoping not to get burned You pray it's for the best, perhaps even make a friend. All at once it rushes in, stopping inches from your face This creature is so soft and beautiful With the fire's light reflecting off its body. You see the love, passion, and compassion Flickering in its eyes. You just pray this gift from God Can stay forever by your side Keeping warm from the flames of eternity Wanting eachother always Wanting neither to get pushed in Getting burned by the other's mistakes.
