I took your hand and stepped into the Light. So hard it was for me to blindly trust. For all of my life I've walked in the Night. The least thing you stirred within me was lust. So hard it was for me to blindly trust. In your loving words did I find new faith. The least thing you stirred within me was lust. No more could I live as a ghostly wraith. In your loving words did I find new faith. With you God answered each whispered prayer. No more could I live as a ghostly wraith. You saw through my facade's every layer. With you God answered each whispered prayer. This love abides through each dawning day's gloam. You saw through my facade's every layer. Our love went on past when God called you home. This love abides through each dawning day's gloam. To you and to God my soul I commend. Our love went on past when God called you home. With a last grateful breath my life does end. To you and to God my soul I commend. For all of my life I've walked in the Night. With a last grateful breath my life did end. I took your hand and stepped into the Light. ©1999 DreamEvil ------------------ Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© |

Lovely sentiment! I think you will find the light to be a place full of wonder, a place of growth and new beginnings. The life you ended was due to end....I am glad it lead to a brilliant new beginning! ------------------ Julie Jordan Scott is a Freelance Writer and Public Speaker, but her favorite role is that of Mommy! This is an exceptionally moving poem. Nicely done. ------------------ O all ye powers that he implanted, Arise, keep silence no more; put forth the strength that he hath granted, your noblest work is to adore. |

Interesting twist my friend...echoes of lonliness and doubt dulled to a whisper...Well done of course, tis always hard to trust. |
