(This was written ina challange from a friend, the entire poem was finished in 2 minutes, from the time I got the subject till completion.)

Sunrise

Deep and dark is the night
I sit here waiting for the light
And when I think I can't go on
The sun rises, here comes the dawn
A sunrise bright, beyond compare
The morning dew now fills the air
When things are dark, I can't find my way
Nature brings the light of day
The colors in all their glory shine
As you gently slip your hand in mine
No longer lost or all alone
By mornings sunrise, I have come home

You never cease to amaze me! 2 minutes, this time, huh? Didn't even have to use your break time for this one! Fabulous!

Think of all the wonderful words you could write if you always used your time that way.

Nice job, Ruth! Even if I write online, (email etc..), it still takes me longer than two minutes, and I know EXACTLY what I was going to say.

Hmmmmm... as slowly as I type (and think *G*) I MIGHT could have written the second line in 2 minutes... not as a poem, but a prayer! LOL

Excellent! I especially enjoyed the connection of the beginning of a relationship with the dawn of a new day.

Thanks!
