Hold me Father hold me
I might be dying soon

Who does call, I'm too busy
I haven't the time, begone!

Hold me Mother hold me
I might be dying soon

I'm too hot, the kitchen's packed
The pot boils over, begone!

Hold me Brother hold me
I might be dying soon

I tried to warn you, you paid no mind
Don't cry to me, begone!

Hold me Sister hold me
I might be dying soon

I am wed, isn't life grand
My life is new, begone!

Hold me Horseman hold me
I might be dying soon

My bony arms will clothe your cold
I've nothing but time, my Son

chilling ...

I enjoy your writing ... is it just me or have you been posting more lately?

Well done.

This has a distinct flavor to it, like a fable from the Old country. I like it much.

Nice one !! - The best part of opening one of your poems, Alastair, is that I never know what to expect - and I'm never disappointed..

Thank you everybody
As with most of my writings posted at this wonderful place Ron has provided us, they tend to get lost in the archives withing days, if not hours, of their postings. Now, I'm not bitching or anything, just saying.

Again, thank you for the many resurrections.
