So help me

I savor every word with fits of aim.
Each charming phrase so neither be to blame.
For since I've learned her peripatetic space
I smile and try to keep myself in her grace.
Amphetamine desires blood, comb each classic tome.
Analyze each move and look to see which way she roam.
With rapt regard and steely look without a show of fear
My answer is a simple and a pleasant, yes my dear.

Now she comes from a different zone and a different tone
Her kettle boils with olive oil and often sounds a crone.
She is of positive drown and whatever her lot
She hammers it down whether it be true or not.
A force much equal to a hurricane.
And to a hurricane there's little refrain.
I've come to withstand the force with little or no fear
And anchor my answers with a simple yes my dear.

Of fears and tears there has been enough.
We have learned to fly above that stuff.
And tenderness is but a plus,
For very simple folks like us.
Our love is as strong as the gordian knot
And for a common couple that is allot.
Our roots are deep in the common sod.
Two common peas in a common pod.

And though we are of different ilk
Our marriage is as strong as silk.
