Night and Day

You sense impending doom
Seeing your worlds collide.
Feeling the wrath of hell
Coming down on your hide.

It’s all in your perception
It’s easy enough to change
You’ve placed us in the heavens
All you have to do is rearrange.

Let her be your sun, your center
Around which your world revolves.
Putting her in her proper place,
See how much it solves?

I’ll be your moon in orbit
Let me be your muse.
I’m here to inspire and comfort
No need to be confused.

Feel the driving force of her fire
I know she has many demands.
She pushes you to your limits
She’ll make you a better man.

I’m the night to her day,
Come bask in my lunar glow.
Bathe in my moonlight,
Discover the truths you know.

Are you ready to leave the light?
Cast darkness upon your home?
Relax in my presence—
You’ll find the answers on your own.

I am the captain of my soul.

Terrific, Tara. You have words of wisdom here. You would be a wonderful moon for anyone, I'm sure.
