If one wish could be mine I'd turn back the hands of time I'd go back to the time of my birth I'd make it a celebration one of great mirth Would the path of my life be different How would my time now be spent I'd change all of my mistakes I'd give me a heart that didn't ache I'd give me a home and a family A mind that doesn't question its sanity I'd sail through my days with no friction I'd change the definition of conviction I'd choose different mountains to climb If I could change the hands of time would my concept of love be the same Would I still be the Rainbow I became? ------------------ You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. |

Well done. I would hope you would remain the same. Spent many a day wondering....what if. ------------------ Set you heart free and your mind will follow. |

I don't think you'd change and I don't think anyone would want you to. Well done! ------------------ Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool: But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet. |

This is well done, dear, but to answer your question [that we've all asked of ourselves at time, I'm sure], the answer would be "no", you wouldn't be who you know yourself to be now. And in that, we would all lose a great deal. Now that you know these differences, it is up to you to make new lives better. God Bless. |

Hoot: Thanks ...I kind of like me the way I am.. HUGS Darling: ROFL...hmmm, now then, if my watch could be toeragged how about you make it so that I can switch timezones at the flick of a button?..*g* HUSG Dragoness: I guess it's something we all ponder from time to time, now if I had been born to Bill Gates, heck I could think of numerous things to change, starting with Win98...ooops HUGS Craig: Thanks sweetheart...just as well seeing as you're stuck with me this way..*g* HUSG Sunshine: It was really more rhetorical and I was thinking about a conversation I had earlier about what we might wish for but in reality if it was possible to have everything we wanted we'd have nothing to work for and probably appreciate nothing..I hope I do make the occasional life better including my own.. HUGS ------------------ You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. |

I think we all want to do that sometimes! I do believe that pain makes you stronger though and helps shape who you are. Like this very much! |

really nice poem RG, and will echo the sentiments of everyone above, by saying that even if I would wish for you less pain, if it changes the wonderful person you are, then what is the gain? big hugs! |
