Dew filled mists gently soar Upon painted butterfly wings Moonlight brushed glittery gold Bathing a jewel toned horizon Clouds laced within midnight skies Giant oaks support the heavens The foliage crimson, fiery, blazing Falling in a harvest rainbow Streams bubble with elfish laughter Their eyes gleaming within the foam Fae whispers kiss a sultry breeze Wings fluttering with temptation Starlight sweeps fluidly Like tearstains upon navy silk Never completely erased Visions silver framed Within my wandering memory Lost once, but flown back To my weary soul Upon painted butterfly wings. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* Wise is he who faces the frailty of man with the strength of an understanding heart. -- Daniel L. I like this stylistic departure from your recent works. Free verse rarely grabs my attention, but this does it well. Good deal my friend. ------------------ Nothing is worse than sorrow, except perhaps disdain. I'll be myself tomorrow, tonight I'll feel the pain. DreamEvil© |

This was beautiful.... I closed my eyes and listened for the first time with my heart, and I heard the sounds you speak of, and upon opening them my eyes truly saw the wonderous spectrum of colors glowing brightly before me. Truly enjoyable. Thanks for sharing. ------------------ Deverone |
