The Heart of You

Your heart I have seen
I know it well
You think it's unclean
You've been through Hell

The hurts and the pain that you've endured
Shows me the heart you protect so fiercely
It's honorable, strong and nearly pure
Defending those you love so dearly

You've been there with me at my darkest hours
Supporting and loving, caring and true
So this little poem is sent not with flowers
But just a simple I love you

Set you heart free and your mind will follow.
