Christian or Buddhist or what have ye, A single God or two or three, All against or work together, Thanks to one and fear to other, To place our faith in empty sky, And vainly watch our lives go by. When I laugh thee wonder why, So let me tell you with a sigh, In the heavens or on Olympus, Long they sleep past mrotal fuss, Ha ha! Ho ho! Why bother to pray? For when they wake, tis us they'll slay! Childrens toys we are to them, From which only play does stem, And poverty to presidency, Nomads to the Dynasty, Pray that the gods still sleep, Or else we'll die like sheep! Ha ha! Ho ho! Why bother to pray? For when they wake, tis us they'll slay! |

My thanks to ye... I was inspired while reading the book "Wolves of the Gods" by Allan Cole, in which one part... Know that Asper knocked at the castle keep, but the gates were barred, the gods asleep. ------------------ Life is community service. 100 years of it, time off for bad behavior.
