I love women for their innate kindness. I hate women for they taught me despair. I love them for seeing past my blindness. They look right through me with that vacant stare. Out of sheer boredom they scarred up my heart. My tortured soul they met with sympathy. With glee they picked my fractured mind apart. Fresh heartache they have met with empathy. Their soothing touch always quiets my rage. For spite, concern became their stalking-horse. The reasons for my tears they do assuage. For each fear-filled nightmare they are the source. Used and discarded, I was once their toy. They are my anchor against doubt's onslaught. Women broke me with the wiles they employ. In the rush of knowing them I am caught. With each Lady's hug, my wall crumbles more. Their derision now inspires my scorn. Their friendship helps mend the heartstrings I tore. Women make me wish I was never born. ©1999 DreamEvil ------------------ Now and forever my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© [This message has been edited by DreamEvil (edited 10-07-1999).] |

I am both impressed, and saddened by this. |

Well, I'm glad you were born! Dream, I think we may be difficult, but so are men! We have many more emotions or at least show them more. Confusing? Yes, even to us! I guess, it really is true. Can't live with us, can't live without us. I'm glad to see your a little more open to it though! Hell, it's hard to live with ourselves sometimes! |

Sounds like some self-serving woman out there needs a good beating ... or is it more than one ..? Anyway, I'm sure we can round up enough protective females from this little clan to put a serious hurting on whomever plucked your heartstrings to play THIS tune ... Yes, I realize it was a challenge, DE, but you have been posting many bitter laments in this vein ... it's time you tempered your pain with a little pleasure, no? This piece is littered with enigmas...which, of couse, describes women very well....and men, I'm afraid. The writing is brilliant. |

Sys challenged me to write about the extremes with which I view women. The piece is entirely accurate and true. Thank you for the acknowledgement of this piece. Nochtdraco, thank you very much but I have found a few pieces of pleasure to grasp hold of. Revered Elder, as always your praise humbles this road-weary poetic pilgrim. ------------------ Now and forever my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© |

Well, I hate women when they get hysterical!!!! ( Done that myself once or twice to my never ending shame - most grow out of it, some do not...) The man of paradox strikes again. Like it! ![]() |

You show limited infinities that hide behind a veil of open melancholy joy. Well done. |

Well, Dreamie - you about summed it up alright. Welcome to the World of Men! lol - You did a great service bringing this poem out where women can be made to see how unbelieveably incredible they are at scrambling our brains and leaving us wondering, "What the hell just happened to me?" As usal, I enjoyed your writing. Have I never? As an aside - may I possibly write about this later? (innocent eyes) |
