Love is alive, it makes life sing Life must be lived from birth 'til dust Though not always fair remember one thing I'm here for you and in that you can trust Love that's denied doesn't have to be hate You can still count on the love of a friend True, pain and anger take time to abate But I'll be here to help your heart mend I feel the ache of your soul's lost joy I'd never deny it, it wouldn't be right False cheerfulness I will not employ Nor make light of your tortuous plight Please hear this plea impassioned In your heart please hear its refrain Don't give up on your compassion You'll find you will need it again Love sometimes seems stupidly inspired Feeling its anguish is how we learn When you give up on your desires Your life takes a downward turn In a time when I was in torment You opened your heart to my grief Kindness was your gracious intent 'Twas friendship that you achieved I'll not let my thanks to you go unsaid You have proved love is alive and not dead. caroline 1999 all rights reserved For DreamEvil...thanks for allowing me to add my own twist to your words, my friend ![]() ------------------ "Tread softly, for I have spread my dreams under your feet"~~William Butler Yeats |

Heartfelt work..its great to see you extend your friendship, as all of us would do. And in a beautiful poem on top of it! Great! ![]() ------------------ *Krista Knutson* Wise is he who faces the frailty of man with the strength of an understanding heart. -- Daniel L. Miller |

Wise words, caroline ... and ones we could all heed, in our darkest moments ... "No matter what is wagered -- What is lost -- The kiss of love is always Worth the cost." Bravo! ![]() Nocht |
