Honored Friend Your seething anger shows it scares those who don't understand when reaching out to someone you're returned a bloodied hand I have no words of comfort I can only empathize I, too, have been the victim of perpetrated lies I choose my prized ones carefully My instinct seldom fails I haven't love for blackhearts who spread their cruel tales Should liars look for sympathy in copious amounts they'll not find it in my heart and mine's the one that counts I understand your anger, friend I've been there more than twice I've heard those whispered words of petty viciousness and vice I'll be standing next to you I will never do you wrong Our codes of honor intact Our friendship true and strong caroline 1999 all rights reserved ------------------ The only man worth your tears will never make you cry... |
