Hello I am new here and I have never attempted to write before. I have lost a very special woman in my life and I wanted to share my pain with someone, somehow...I thought it might make me feel better. So I thought I would post it here..... Wanted to know what was thought good or bad....and that the message is clear...thank you so much for allowing me to enter in to your life.. YOU CHASED IT ALL AWAY: by First Knight ~For there was darkness at my door, taking my life from me ~From out of the mist you came, and you chased it all away.... ~My search for a woman of pure heart came and I dismissed it as a dream, ~for darkness made my search only a dream, and you chased it all away.... ~Spending my days alone inside, wishing it were not true ~The darkness kept me standing there, and you chased it all away.... ~So alone so incomplete I was, the darkness ruled my life ~Out of control for I was lost, and you chased it all away.... ~For in the darkness my heart cried for you, and you heard my heart call ~The darkness kept the pain so real, and you chased it all away..... ~The darkness filled my life so complete, but still there was a hole inside ~The hollow feeling of loneliness, and you chased it all away.... ~Now that your gone my ~heart cries on, ~the darkness comes from pain ~Happiness I knew with you complete, ~and you chased it all away.... |

Thank you so much Isis and Marge.....As I reread my post I said I lost her......what I mean more in detail is that she left me of her own free will after meetings online for a year.....We met face to face and after spending days with her.....she became so scared......she said I was to real....and she ran. It has been only days since then....and this poem came from that. thank you for your kind and gentle words and the comfort given to my heart |

I'm new here, too. I have always found poetry to be a form of therapy. And, it seems, sharing your emotions with others through poetry is not only a release for you, the poet, but also a way for us, your readers, to see into your heart. An absolutely beautiful poem and heart. |
