A Story of Fate Written by: Stuart Oligee This is a story, one to tell if I may About love and loss, one’s life, I do here say. A time once ago that was thought forever, For fate had changed things… I met her while young with wonder and bliss Her touch, her care, her passionate kiss… I married that woman who I’ve fallen in love Now only memories of which fall from above. After the pains of the heart had diminished with time, I found myself seeking another, one to call mine. But fate has this thing if you know what I mean, I looked and looked but nothing was seen. I said ”that’s it, I’m done, I through with it all” For thoughts of new life, new love, new passion would fall. I came to peace with the terms of my life, Thinking this is what’s meant to be…. Then one day it suddenly changed…. Out of the blue came a wonderful woman… a spark… Together we ignited, burning brightly way past dark, She showed me the light, the one I thought gone. When it was over, the sky, my life, was now dawn. Why does this fate do this? Why does it wait? Always keep hope my friend, Don’t become fate’s bait. |
