Singing You ... ~Marge Tindal ~ 1999 Of all the songs I've ever sung, and I've been known to sing quite a few, The song I sing the best, I think, is a melody sung of you. I will sing of the time when we first met, of the day when our love started. My memory may blur to a clouded haze , when it reaches the day that we parted. It might not have a good ending, But, oh, how I love to sing it ... For now that you have left the nest, I guess I'll just have to wing it. Of all the songs I've ever sung, this one tears at my gut. I'll never forget the haunting refrain... You said, "I love you................but." The years have come and will surely go as quickly as they came ... Someday I won't remember the words, and I won't remember your name. But I will sing another song, perhaps to a different tune. For time has a way of healing.
