Amen It starts in the barn, bitchen, On a cold September. And his wife in the kitchen Stirring up old ember. The dog is curled by the door The rooster crowen the day. The cat scratchen the floor Chickens pecken away. The pigs are looking for food Cows waiting for milken The hens effectively brood The eggs need collecten. Children shouting loud in dress. The food is getten cool. Bow their heads in grace and bless And off they run to school. The day's hard, all chore no play The sun is getten red. Stops his work the end of day And heads he straight for bed. Winks and kisses his wife where then, He slyly rolls his eyes, Amen. |
