Love is like a butterfly in so many, many ways Brings a bit of sunshine even on gloomy days Makes our soul feel lighter just to know it's there Gives our spirit wings as if floating in the air Carries us to places that we never knew before Comes in many sizes, shapes and hues galore Once we've felt it we wish to bind it to us tight But like a frail butterfly it needs release in flight For if we try to cage it and hold it in a pen We'll crush its wings and it will never fly again Keep love glowing in our hearts each and every day And always remember to give some of it away Every little bit we give to someone else to share Comes back tenfold and we've got so much to spare Put your love on gossamer wings, give it a training flight It WILL return to you and you'll smile with heart's delight ------------------ You give but little when you give of your possessions.
