Walking on Wind

Polishing the breeze
Hummingbirds wing
Hovering
At beak’s length
From beckoning blossom

Tiny blurs of bird rhythm
Bobbing and bowing
To the lure
Of tantalizing nectar

Nodding their colorful heads
Blooms acquiesce
To the gentle
Insistent whirring
Of hummingbirds
Walking on wind.
