If I've learned one thing from you, It's how to survive. I've learned that life's not always fair, no matter how I strive. I've learned that love is beautiful, with the right one at my side. To see all of your qualities,through eyes filled with pride. I've also learned that love, sometimes just can not be. I have learned to accept it, since the one I love's not free. It makes for long and lonely nights, but ecstasy in my dreams. It makes me realize, that dreams are all I'll have it seems. I've learned from you, my love, to live with my destiny. Pretend it doesn't matter, keep my feelings under lock and key. I'll take each day as it comes, and try to make it good. I'll try to say and do the things, that I know I should. So life goes on, and who's to know, about the nights I've cried. Loving you, and wanting you. But darling, I will survive. I've learned how to survive, I've learned how to exist. But when it comes down to 'you' I haven't learned how to resist! |
