Small Change, Big Changes All we’ve come to know And thought secure Comes undone Nothing is sure I feel for you young children Ripped from hearth, friends Rolling down hills, valleys extend Far beyond physical realms Here you grew in redwoods’ shadow Stopped for sounds of Canadian Geese Heading south, "V" pattern When rustic autumn came Golden afternoons melted into Cool darkness, town so small Walked to dinner with friends Casual, never really permanent This place has that kind of feel As though everyone waits For when they must leave Not a normal place Not diversified, not reality And yet, a certain caring Community spirit Beauty of range horses Streams running freely Cattle that still roam So close to the bustle Yet a world away. A comfortable trap Birds in gilded cages all But, the real world awaits Time to join up, my precious ones Once again With a promise it will never be dull. © 1999 CM Bailey |

Sounds like a change in the wind for the speaker, with new exciting challenges coming. |

Nicely done. ------------------ Illusion...what we see and what we do...it's all up to you. |

You know. I didn't realize you had been here for so long, Lady. I don't believe I've ever read this. Enjoyed what I found on my treasure quest. I will not bend to the cowardice of a silent judgement. |
