Rocks and River It happens when we’re sleeping Focused thoughts come into view Gentle spirits call a meeting A place where we pass through Where mighty rushing rivers flow Green landscapes burgeoning And indigo dog violets grow Patience and love harvesting You, the stream flowing I, the shape of stability Growing, never plateauing Wearing me smooth, subtly At times nature tears us apart She regards us with suspicion Leaving us with wounded hearts To renew love sans inhibition Thoughts pouring onto each other Repeating rhythms brimming over Holding forth on terra firma Fluid and solid, rocks and river (c) 1999 CM Bailey |

Corinne, what can I say? I love it. The weaving of nature and love, two of my favorite subjects, is joyous. Thank you. ------------------ Once I was brilliant, now I no longer shine, but the twinkle in my eye speaks of another time. |
