The Greater Gift Why did God so bless the world to place upon it, man? Was it just an after thought He added to his plan? I think He made a perfect Earth and painted skies so blue, then created man to have some one to give it to. But man must count his life in years Earth, countless centuries. Man needs no further time to heal from damage done by trees. Seems the greater gift was giving Earth a longer span. And maybe it could heal from wounds inflicted by the man. ------------------ I look forward to tomorrow, while looking back on the past. But today is the day I am living. And I expect it to be a great day! |

Omhe, I liked the poem but I think the third stanza could use some work. |

Thanks, Munda. And thanks to you Seymour. I was not really happy with 3rd either. Just couldn't seem to come up with anything I liked better. Will work on it some. |

Great piece, I wish everyone thought this way, then we probably wouldn't have had to heal the Earth in the first place! ![]() ------------------ Cast your eyes on the ocean, Every man goes down to his death bearing in his hands only that which he has given away... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

Seymour, been thinking about it. I think it would have a better punch if I just left out the 3rd completely. What do you think about that? Thanks Tori, Isis, Watcher and Jenny. I have probably left more of a mark on the Earth than I ever intended. |

Great thought here Ohme. Forgive me if I can't come up with scripture as of right now, but it does state that it will be rejuvinated. This is where our home will be in Eternity. He created it to be inhabited! loved your poem! If I can find a better place than this I will let you know. Read Rev. 21:1-3 [This message has been edited by WhtDove (edited 11-02-1999).] |
