Shopping trolly.
It used to be at the front,
The leader of the pack.
Now it stands there lonely,
Right at the very back

The one which people push aside,
As if it's no big deal.
Nobody wants to use it now,
The one with the squeeky wheel.

Welcome to the family! This is a cute poem - but I always get this one..it has a mind of it's own too, taking me down that dreaded ice cream aisle!

I catch your double meaning in this. Much like the cart, we tend to forget the Senior persons and they are "pushed aside". We must remember, we will be there all too soon!
You have said a lot in such a short space. Nicely written.
