Dark, endless, night sky, Do you hear me crying? Do you hear me sigh? Do you know I feel like I might die? Dark abyss up above, Do you know I'm thristing for love? Do you know I'm drowning in sorrow? Don't know if there'll even be a tomorrow? Cloud filled sky without a star shining, Do you feel my need? Do you understand? Will I ever succeed? Endless trails of the night, Tonight no bringer of light, Does anyone even begin to fathom, The despair that is my plight? I don't think you are there for me tonight, No sunsets, or twinkling pinholes in the curtain of night, No beacons in the darkness, Nothing beautiful in sight. Just cold seclusion, No warmth for me this eve, Perhaps I should go inside now, I shall turn and leave. PLEASE NOTE: I'm not depressed or sad, this just came forth,  ------------------ Cast your eyes on the ocean, Every man goes down to his death bearing in his hands only that which he has given away... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

Ah yes, just because a poet has a depressing thought or two doesn't mean they're depressed themselves. I have to explain that a lot. Nicely done, Isis, nicely done. |
