Pain rolling across my head
At times like these I'm better off dead
OH God! Do I really have to get out of bed?

The sun is up, but cold are my toes
My eyes are red and stuffed is my nose
Well to be honest I'm totally froze

The alarm is blaring, but I don't care
Damn but this is just too unfair!
I'll just snuggle up with my bear

An hour past and the alarm still rings
Now even the damn bird sings
This is what the morning brings

Then in a move so totally bold
I jump in the shower and horrors untold
Cursing and yelling about this cold!

6 inches of snow has just struck
I'm late for work, in traffic stuck
Winter is here, just my luck!

I can relate to this my friend. It is only Fall here but it is dark when I get up and by the time I am through with the kids activities, dark. The chill of snow threatens in the air and cold's abound. I am ready for spring again and winter hasn't hit yet...LOL.

It's 95 in Calif. today
What is this winter anyway? Great poem--I did feel a chill as I read it.

Hehe - I'm just entering a lovely lovely summer...mind you having said that, that means I'm still here and not in America which means I'm still divided...you lucky thing!
Like the poem btw - simple and effective.

Love the poem Watcher.
This is the feeling I used to wake up to. But now that I'm retired, wake up at the same time, just go back and hibernate some more!

The only time I see snow is when I shake those little snow globes...LOL. There is a cold front over my part of Florida now...its in the 40's tonight. I love it!

Come and visit, Watcher!

I can relate to this, but from my past. I moved to Florida. Well done.

Yesterday was our first below-freezing morning here and people are already comparing this year to last and saying, "Was it this cold this early last year?" A frustrating experience to realize summer is gone. Well written.
