I watch the years within your hands.
Etch lines engraved from years of toil.
The strength perceived, the most solid bands.
Would hold me tight as life did boil.

Etch lines engraved from years of toil.
The years go by, yet still remains.
Would hold me tight as life did boil.
The Daddy's girl in me proclaims.

The years go by, yet still remains.
Each day with you a precious gift.
The Daddy's girl in me proclaims.
I wish to sooth each silly rift.

Each day with you a precious gift.
A memory to charish made.
I wish to sooth each silly rift.
You are to me a secret glade.

A memory to charish made.
My love on you I do shower.
You are to me a secret glade.
Comfort in you, that is my power.

My love on you I do shower.
I watch the years within your hands.
You are to me a secret glade.
The strength preceived, the most solid bands.

suthern...thankyou for your kind words. My Father has always been important to me. I have always tried to let him know this. I am a Daddy's girl personified.

Toerag...Thanks for your good job. I read yours and I thought it was great! I am finding the years are running away much too fast. Denise's poem was my inspiration for this piece. I treasure my Father and don't know how I would cope with his passing. I will not think of that until it is absolutely necessary..*S*.

Watcher.....This is a tribute to the one man in my life who has been constant. I adore him and need to let him know more often.
