Reflections of Life In still water shine To reach my eyes. The life is mine. Ripples flow From side to side, And the puddle of life Forms its own tide. Through the water The waves flow Carrying the images To and fro. Back and forth My life does wash And before my eyes I see the cost; The cost of life, The pain and loss, But the rewards Were worth the cost. The rewards are harder To see somehow. They're under the water Buried in the bow Of a sunken ship of memory Forever protected On the bottom of The puddle of life. ------------------ On the wings of day-bright dreams... |

I like this one a lot. Good work. ------------------ "Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage." -Billy Corgan- |

This has got to be my favorite one yet !! There are several lines in here that really make this beautiful and almost haunting....very nicely done - I like how your poetry just starts "flowing" into a story, and by the time you finish it, you do so with a bang ! very nice.... ------------------ I beckon you to come...I lure you with my tongue... - poet FemmeFatale |

Wow, the meter and rhyme work for this poem and bring it across wonderfully |
