I contemplate quietly as the
leaves rustle in the trees.
I am not the same anymore, and
I have no idea where this road leads.

What is around the bend?
Ahh, but it's not for me to know.
Keep going, don't look back, my
journey has begun, I have to go.

The past is behind me and I am new.
New beginings, new tomorrows,
not to be questioned, but accepted,
may it be good or full of sorrows.

My quest for the answers I seek,
may never be revealed to me.
I can say I've tried to conquer
my goal, even if it's never to be.

I want to touch and embrace the life,
that has been withheld for so long.
I want to capture for the first time,
a melody to fill my heart with song.

I want to laugh, and sing, and dance,
as the innocent child that I once was.
Untainted by the hands of mankind,
and let beauty be, as beauty does.

I want my days unblimished, with
the sunshine upon my face,
raindrops to envelope me and
then a rainbow to chase.

This road I'm on may not lead me,
to where I want to go.
And though I walk it all alone now,
around that bend...you never know!
