As the rain outside my window falls
My thoughts walk through unseen halls

Behind the doors with in my mind
Unimaginable fears churn and grind

Fears of love lost and gone
Fears of waking alone in the dawn

My thoughts turn down another corridor
I can feel myself held in your arms once more

You hold me tight and kiss my lips
My eyes closed tight but one tear slips

I wake from this dream, staining my cheeks are tears
I gasp for breath as my hope is choked away by fears

In the darkness silence calls
As the rain outside my window falls

Wow! I never expected to have this many replies when I signed on this morning. Thank you all.

Micheal: I still can't believe that you find my poems interesting and worth your praise. I am glad that they touch you as they do.

Dark Angel: Thank you I'm glad that you enjoyed this.

Watcher: Thank you also!

Hoot: I did not mean for this to make you sad I'm so sorry that I did. I had to get things off my mind, not meant to be sad at all.

Trynete: I am glad you enjoyed this. Thank you.

Seymour: Thank you also.

You guys are gonna fill my head with the crazy idea that I'm good at this or something..LOL. Thank you all again.

I love the rain ...

For that reason alone, this poem is well worth the read. However, there are many other reasons why I had to read it several times over, relishing it more each time. My favorite of all is how you began and ended with the same line: it completed the image of the mind wandering, then coming back to reality. I am impressed!

My friend, you just keep getting better and better. You'd better stop that ... you know I don't like competition!

Though I have already told you how much I love this, allow me to reiterate: I LOVE THIS!
