So here you are, in LulabyLand At spot B-44 Is where I stand 'Baby Girl' it said at the top of the stone Dirt stains your name The grass overgrown It's a beautiful day, but it rains inside I'm here to say, I'm OK Now I Love, No longer to hide I polished your head stone, til the finish shined clear I used water from the cherub, and a few of my tears The grass is now cut The edges are done A new week of flowers Just today has begun I cut my hand Blood spilled from a vein It fell to your grave Our blood, one in the same With tears in my eyes I took a look around You are in a field of children, more babies in the ground The loss and the sorrow Who would you be today Looking for words "I miss you" I say Why did you leave, why did you go? Couldn't you hear your Mama call How could this happen, How could I know? As I sit here beside you....Tears Fall. - Enrique |

Extreamly touching lines...I have two poems dealing with the loss of an infant, please e-mail me if you would like to see them. |
