Sometimes the way you look at me catches my heart in my throat and I choke to turn away- the power of your gaze is too strong for my eyes and my heart races to keep up with the thoughts in my head and I turn to you and your hands and I wonder- what is it about you I can't seem to get enough of? A desire so strong overwhelms me that it chokes at the heart of me and I push your face out of my way- out of my mind yet, the traces linger still... and I am running from the pull of your smile the charm of your eyes as they flash at me daring me to reach out and touch you... Crushed and twisting and turned around I blind myself to keep myself away- away from the sight of you. [This message has been edited by Christina Myers (edited 07-04-99).] |

I hope I'm not joking here, but this is a poem of madness between two eyes - a war of eyes, a war of desires, or a war of incognito, or a war of avoidance on your part. IMHO. |

The thought never popped in my head that this wasn't a good one... actually I think this is a really good one. Your writings have a passion in them, and sometimes I try criticizing poems, to see if I got the idea right, but sometimes I'm such a terrible critic. I'm sorry.... |

Believe me, it IS a good one. I've faced those same inner struggles and you describe them excellently. |
