Empathy, sympathy, pity, and pain, I'm caught in a whirlwind of words and feelings assaulting my brain. Ruined lives lend tortuous sighs as mortar to the wall I built across my eyes. Emotional pain suppressed all feeling until this realization left me reeling: My family, my friends, myself, those I despise, share a simple thing, all feel pain and each of us cries. ©1992 DreamEvil ------------------ I am not responsible for how you choose to interpret what I say. I hear you. I am listening. And you know I understand completely. ------------------ ~one voice~ For Myself, I live, Live intensely and am fed by life, and my value, whatever it be, is in my own kind of expression of that. *Henry James |

Have you ever known anyone who doesn't cry? If so, why do you think they don't/can't? You bring up some interesting ideas with this poem... |

Thank you both. One voice, again yours is a chorus. Poet deVine, yes, I felt only hatred and rage most of my life. In my early twenties, I truly learned to cry. |

Great work DreamEvil I think crying is the one job that us men do better than women, with more vigour and only when extremely necessary, like when Bambi dies or E.T. goes home or you can't get your own way or the car won't start or you can't make it to that party and you really wanted to go or........ |
